According to the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance, 2012 LTCi Sourcebook, page 3, in 2011, over 65% of all long-term care insurance new claims were for people over the age of 80!
The more affluent you are, the longer you’ll live. The longer you live, the higher the odds are that you’ll eventually need long-term care.
